Before adopting Beam AI, BPMT’s preconstruction process relied on entirely manual takeoffs:

• Time-consuming processes: 40+ hours spent on takeoffs for each estimate.
• Manual counting and marking: Estimators used printed sheets, site visits, and traditional takeoff methods
• Estimating was a secondary task
  Engineers handled estimates in between meetings and site supervision, leaving limited time for accurate cost assessments. [This usually resulted in overbidding due to the need for higher contingencies. More time in the field also resulted in higher overhead costs.
