Saves 20 hours per week and improves estimate accuracy

Before adopting Beam AI, Branch Structural Solutions relied entirely on manual takeoff methods, without the use of dedicated takeoff software. Every estimate required manual tracing and measurement using the EJE Structural Material Manager.

Each takeoff took 3–5 days to complete, placing a heavy time burden on Grant and his four-person estimating team. Because so much time was spent on manual measurements, the team was limited in how many bids they could realistically pursue each month.

Beyond time constraints, the lack of software support increased the risk of missed inclusions, especially critical components like bolts and plates. This made estimates harder to standardize and reduced confidence in final quantities.

As a result, the team was sending 6–10 bids per month, with little bandwidth left for internal improvements, process standardization, or strategic work.
