Saves time of 2 full-time estimators and improves takeoff accuracy

Before adopting Beam AI, RDC relied entirely on manual takeoffs using PlanSwift. Full-site and building packages often required up to 40 hours to complete, while building-only scopes typically took ~3 days, tying up estimator time on each project.

As project size and complexity increased, manual takeoffs limited the team’s ability to multitask across multiple bids. Managing addenda required manual comparisons, adding rework, and making it harder to identify plan changes quickly. With the team focused on takeoffs, there was little time left for other high-priority tasks such as refining calculations, reviewing quantities, and supporting pricing efforts.
