The Challenge
Before Beam AI, G.W. Thiel’s estimating team handled all takeoffs internally using ProContractor. Completing a single bid could take anywhere from 3–5 days, depending on project size, making it difficult to keep up with the growing number of incoming ITBs.
Because estimators spent so much time on manual efforts, the team often faced capacity constraints during busy bidding periods. Managing addenda required estimators to stop active work, revisit completed takeoffs, and manually review updated drawing sets, further slowing turnaround.
